Medeley and Zotero are tools designed to help organise your references, create bibliographies and citations and are free to download and use.
Zotero
Zotero is a personal research assistant that allows you to store reference information. It is s a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organise, cite, and share your research sources.
You can use Zotero to:

Sync, collaborate and backup
Although Zotero makes referencing much quicker and easier, it doesn't free you from the need to know anything about the referencing style you are using. You'll need to know the basics of the referencing style in order to be able to enter data into Zotero accurately so that the reference list will be output correctly.
Mendeley
Mendeley allows you to organise, read and annotate documents in one place. You can import documents directly from the Web.
