ePortfolios
Your ePortfolio is an online record of your learning. An ePortfolio can include evidence from a single piece of work, to a collection of continuing professional development.
During your study at OP you may be asked to post your assessments and learning activities to an ePortfolio. Creating an ePortfolio is an opportunity for you to express yourself visually so don't think of it as a filing cabinet, but as an online CV, and holder of all your successes, your personal journal and course text book all wrapped into one. This is a really important task as it will be the collection of your learning to refer back to, but could also be a good way to showcase what you are capable of to others.
What is Pathbrite?
Pathbrite is a platform for building eportfolios. Pathbrite is the recommended platform at OP because it is easy to work in, makes it easy to produce a very visual portfolio and it's easy to share.
Pathbrite is free and you can keep your portfolio after assessment and share it with potential employers or family. You can also set the permissions on your portfolio at a range of privacy levels and share it through the 'like' and 'comment' buttons which allows you to recieve valuable feedback on your work.
If you are an OP nursing student you will be using a slightly different version of Pathbrite. Please ask your teacher for more information.
